scenic inspirations from japan

It occurred to me that if I'm going to have folks spending time in a game, that it probably needs to be mixed up a bit and not necessarily be in one dojo setting the whole time. In real life, a person will spend a lot of time at the same training hall, slowly polishing their technique. It's engaging in real life because you're concentrating on moving your whole body. In a game setting, since it's just your thumbs, there probably needs to be some more variety. Anyway, there are a lot of beautiful locations in Japan to draw inspiration from. Being there to visit and to train is one of the great highlights of an aikido student's martial arts journey. This is probably the same case for a karate/jujitsu/judo/kendo student as well, I'd bet. I remember when I was 18 and first starting out, I saw a picture tacked on a wall of the bulletin board at my first dojo. The photo was of my sensei and his students in front of what looked like an old temple in Japan. My thinking was, "Man, I'd love to go there too someday". It took about nine years before that someday came. Here are some photos of Japan that I draw inspiration from.
