creating a temple gate, temples, and other structures

In order to represent the temples in a new environment, there's a lot of detail to consider in the construction of buildings and adjacent structures. These buildings are ornate in their own way with all kinds of wooden joists and paneling. This took me awhile to build myself. I wanted to give these to the modeler I've been working with, but he's been working on improving the characters in the interim.
I thought it'd be cool to create a temple gate that the player can enter through to see the Zen garden.

Here is the temple itself, after entering through the gate. There's a lot of detail I tried to capture in the model. The actual structures aren't from Kyoto but rather are inspired by the Zuiryuji temples found in Takaoka, a small city north of Kyoto, a few hours away by train.
