let's have some tea

A big part of Japanese culture are traditions like the tea ceremony that have the same movements each time the ceremony is done. The person serving the tea practices these movements over and over again, making refinements to their technique, much like we do in aikido or any martial artist, really. There are layers of meaning behind the meaning within every movement, from what I hear, like many traditions based in a high-context culture like Japan's.

I wanted to make reference to the tea room used for the ceremony in the spa environment. I've seen some dojo's that have a tea room next to where the mat space is. I've also been to at least one morning class in Japan where they were having tea together afterwards, but not with the ceremony.
